iBook Keyboard

Featured Replies

Hi,

I seem to recall that someone on here mentioned working for Apple/Apple reseller??

Anyway I'm after a replacement keyboard for my ageing 12" G4 1Ghz iBook, I've looked on ebay and I've either missed the end of the auction or they've gone for silly money:eek:.

Anyone here able to help? :)

Unless you can get one from ebay then there is nothing a reseller will be able to do for you.

Your need to find an authorised service provider, as they are the only people that can order the parts from apple they have to prove the part is broken to get a new one.. to stop them ordering the parts and selling their own knock off imacs :P

No wonder the parts go for so much on ebay then

Thanks for that.. I'm in Hull so I'll try Clockwork :)

Apple really are gits :D Their parts aren't cheap and, as Alex says, they're often reluctant to sell them to you even at their inflated price...

As an example, we took a customers G5 tower to clockwork for a new optical drive.. the workings of which are exactly the same as a drive i can buy for a PC for a few quid. Clockwork charged him 168 quid parts and 35 labour and thats not their fault, its what apple charge them
