Hi guys. Just bought a fabia vrs and waiting to recieve it and after test driving it I can only say wow. How quick is this. Could only imagaine what it would be like with a remap. Just out of curiousity. What sort of cars will this baby keep up with. Iv'e bin told it will keep on the bumper of alot of higher class cars. I know my brother who also owns a Fabia VRS has raced his friend at work in his Seat Ibiza Cupra petrol and the lad has took his Seat back telling them it's under powered because it should surely keep up. Any comments greatly appreciated. I look forward to my stay in here at Briskoda:)

You'll find many a tale of conquests around these places. Best thing if you are interested is to compare the manufacturers 0-60 times and in gear times against other cars to give you an idea.

Welcome. The Fabia vRS isn't *that* fast, but it's acceptably quick, and it feels very quick due to the impressive in-gear acceleration, which means on a slightly twisty road (but not twisty enough to tax the handling) it will out-haul lots of cars. Above all, it's fantastic for the performance/cost/practicality blend, and it's not hard to make it faster and address the handling issues- but to be honest, I think some people here make a lot out of that. It handles like a FWD modern diesel hatch (i.e: progressive understeer mostly), and a fairly good one at that. There's a bit of roll but plenty of grip. As a sensible road car with a bit of go and good economy, it's a excellent choice.

hello and welcome,the standard vrs is adequate,but a word to the wise,your first upgrades if you are going to mod,should be chassis and brakes,the standard gear is ok but fit a jabba rear arb and feel the handling improve 100%,a set of 312mm brakes from a audi tt/s3 sort that aspect out,this should be the minimum requirement before a remap:D
