Rotateme is a app that will be freeware, but at the mo its still in beta, and you need to donate to the programmer to get the beta version, then you have to sign it yourself, which is a bit of a PITA.

No Neo's avatar worked fine. but none of the others do, I cant seem to get anthing from holding the phone to the screen cause of my crt refresh.

I don't think you'll have much luck with a CRT, I have been struggling with my LCD panel as well.

If you are REALLY REALLY desperate you'll have to print them off to scan them properly

You aren't missing much with my avatar, it's merely a sarcastic message :P

Also, the more information in the bar code, the more complicated the matrix appears which means the scanner has a hard time recognising it.

Sounds like you have the signed-app protection on..

Go to Tools/App. Mgr

then on the options menu, choose settings and change the "software installation" to all, and make sure online certificate check is OFF.

it should work now..

Basically EVERY app has to be signed to be allowed to install, but within the signing theres lots of options.. eg to sign something as a developer its hardcoded to a specific imei (like the Rotateme thing), over to general release signed (eg install at your own risk) - or theres certificate signed, which is a high-security signing that costs lots of money.

ha ha ha I just launched my N95 across the room whilst lightsabering! The N95 is the new Wii....

I wonder how many warranty repairs Nokia will receive as a direct result of the above?

Start of the app should recommend tying the handset to your wrist, a la the Wii startup instructions
