Toyo T1S tyres?

Featured Replies

Anyone got these tyres fitted at the moment?

What do you think of them?

Fab

I tried them (T1-s Proxes) on an Audi A4 Quattro - I found them quite grippy but a bit harsh in noise and ride. Felt they weren't as good (on the Audi) as all the hype led me to believe. That was 4 cars ago and I haven't felt the urge to get some more over Pirellis or Michelins.

They are great value though, and Scoobynetters rate them very highly for the money. A good, sound grippy tyre but not the most comfortable or long lasting - IMHO.

Ok ?!

I have yet to fault them.

A bucket load better than P6000 for my car and driving style. Alot of grip, very good wet weather grip, don't find noise a problem, leaves a pretty pattern:flowers: aswell.

See Bromley tyres link for a good honest price (will deliver etc)

Only negative, directional so can't rotate that easily. Edges appear soft (known though pre purchase.)

Thats what I thought, they certainly seem great value for what they offer.

I'm looking at new, larger wheels but Pirellis and especially Michelins are so expensive.

I was hoping 195 section treads wouldn't be too noisy (currently 185s)

Cheers...

Had Toyo T1-s Proxes on my old 16's. They were great tyres. Loads of grip, wet or dry. I didn't find them too harsh, they were better than the Pirelli P-zero's that replaced them, though they didn't last as long. But then again, the Pirelli's didn't go through a track day! :D

Did notice that they were a bit soft on the edges after that track run though. They did seem to feather up a bit. But then that was under extreme driving conditions!
