Great start eh??!!??

Featured Replies

Hello All,

Got my octy 1 tdi on halloween, drove it for a week then it cooked itself!!!

Currently back at the garage I had it from having new pump, head gasket, timing belt and tensioner and the head skimmed!

Look on the bright side - I had it booked in for a cam belt change - that's saved me £300!

Downside? - A gutless 1.2 and on it's last legs Clio courtesy car! And i've been stuck with it for over a week!:thumbdwn:

Anything I should look out for when I pick it up?

Thanks

Tim

 Thats shocking, surely it should have had those done before you bought it?

Welcome :)

You would have thought so! At least it's under warranty though and I get to rack up a few thousand miles in someone elses car!

Very true lol

Welcome

Any news on how long it's going to take to fix?

Hiya.

The plastic impellor water pump strikes again? If so, when will VAG accept that these components are not suitable for use in petrol engines?

Rag that clio into the ground IMHO!

Welcome to Briskoda

Davy

I heard the Clio was a lightweight, but can you actually pick it up? :P

Hey up :) Get a BIG discount on the labour & possibly some of the parts involved too!

Still no idea, they've had it 8 days so far, and just got parts back! Hope not too much longer!

Dunno about lightweight, more like lardass! Cr*p 1.2 petrol engine in a ton of badly forged steel and plastic!

And as to parts and labour its all in on warranty, that or they'll have a foot inserted somewhere!

Cheers 4 the welcome:thumbup:

Hi and welcome

That's a bit unlucky still at least it's happened now whilst it's under warranty

Hello and welcome. I agree with john_g, you should rag the a**e out of the clio :D
