vrs seats as an option

Featured Replies

A friend of mine is about to purchase his 4th Octy

The problem is he wants the vrs seats but not the vrs! something to do with tax issues on the 170bhp and the 140bhp.

When asking a dealer for this as a option they said no. he then asked if he could buy the seats after purchasing the car, to which Skoda said they don’t sell vrs seats?

My question is does anyone know the part numbers and/or prices of these seats new?

Thanks in advance.

the parts are available individually, i.e. the padding , the covers etc but I cant see a full seat. I cant see a price either, but my guess would be that your mate would be cheaper trying to find one in the scrappers and get the full lot.

Have already suggested that,

But he wants new. You just can’t please some people.

I would have thought that you could buy the seats for insurance point of view say a seat was fire damaged or if the side airbag. (if the vrs has one of course.)

I priced up a single seat for a Fabia VRS a while ago and it was nearly £1000.

Basic question; WHY?

If its to have a better/sportier seat to sit on then why not get a Recaro seat for the driver only. Keep the OEM seat and refit it when the car is sold, transferring the Recaro to your next car. (My Recaro 'Style' is now nearly 8 years and 140,000 miles old and in its third car.)

You mean you want to buy theses;- Find Genuine 2007 Skoda VRS Black Half Leather Interior on eBay within, Skoda, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 23-Nov-07 14:02:40 GMT)

It might be possible to get the vRS full leather upgrade fitted as that IS listed as an official (dealer fit I think) option. As for getting the parts together to create a vRS interior IMHO the cost is most likely prohibitive.

Looks like a good deal - seating and cards

bahnstormer vrs beat me to it. I'd be interested in those if I was in the market. Otherwise Skoda do a sport seat for non vrs models don't they? Why not ask how much these are?

But I like the idea of buying a Recaro seat, or two.

I am not sure why he wants vrs seats.

If it were me I too would go for the recaros!

All I know is that he finds the seats in the 54plate elegance uncomfortable.

Thanks for the advice.

If you get the leather interior option you also get electrical drivers seat adjustment with more options, the entire seat has height adjustment and the seat base can tilt independantly. It made the seat much more comfortable for me as it supports my legs better as they are quite long.

Maybe he should be looking at the 140TDI L&K?

That is a bargain for those seats - I bet the airbags cost that alone.
