Hello.

Till I am waiting a RNS3 (Trinax/Columbus) navi unit I changed the roof antanna:

New antenna 1U0035507A:

For changing antenna it is necessary to remove C pillar trims, rear handles, trims in luggage - a lot of work!

This is same ariel that is on my vRS which has factory fit Sat Nav.

I assume then, the raised circular piece ahead of the antenna is the GPS receptor?

Yes - its a patch GPS antenna - with a good clear sky view so should give excellent fixes compared with units inside the car. Don't know whether its an active one - seems to have two leads...
