Well, thanks to Simon (Baker21), I now have a set of 17" Superb "Solids" on the Passat. I've never seen them on a Passat before, but after seeing them on the A4 Avant I just had to give them a go.

Will obviously look a lot better when I've lowered the old gal (Jan/Feb time).

What do you think?? Opinions welcome, good or bad.

I like it. Quite liked the old ones for the stock look, but the new ones kind of give off the oem+ stock look.

I was unsure of the look at first but after a longer look it looks sportier with the 5 spokes. If you look at the rear quarter section you could believe it was an Audi A4 Avant

Looks good. Shame you got in there before I bought the Audi. Mind you when I sell the house, I think I'll be putting RS4 reps on the V6.

I must say those look rather like Skoda Superb 5 spoke alloys though.............

It def would look more sporting with a lowered look, just not tooo low. thats my 2p worth.....

doesn't look bad Tom but i can't say i am 100% on them only about 92.36% currently but when getting them refurbed get them done in an anthracite finish and that would look awesome

Only the W8 had 17s as standard.

Are you sure Bengie? I'll be getting them refurbed in the VW silver, but I think once lowered, with the correct centre caps, it will look just "nice". Not after jawdropping looks or making a head turner, just going for the OEM+ style.
