PowerFlex Bushes Query

Featured Replies

Hello All

Had a complete set of powerflex bushes fitted at the beginning of september. This solved all my creaky suspension problems. All of a sudden there's a creaking noise coming from the front passenger side when I go over bumps etc. I had a look at the bushes... is it normal for them to look like this?

My head is saying no, and my mouth is saying....................no, so my hand is defo typing NO!

Perhaps a bit of silicon grease may help? Wonderful cure-all for all sorts of car ailments, lol!

I'd be made up it still there

Errm, no - the Powerflex udders are known for falling out of the console bushes. Pain in the botty.

Get non-voided bushes fitted instead. Just a solid rubber part that wont creak or fall apart.

Hum, now I know what these strange Powerflex things look like - and its not nice! I totally agree that non-voided rear bushes (from Ibiza Cupra) are a good fix - got them! (Powerflex udders, so someone really did buy them! Hummmmm)

Thank you for confirming my beliefs.

You see I wouldn't be that fussed but I've only had them in a couple of months and it's already gone back once because another garage pointed out on my MOT that one was sliding out.

Now is it unfair to blame the fitters? Do these just happen to the powerflex bushes? Or should I by all right have the *** with the people who fitted them? They weren't cheap & were VAG specialist.

Go back where you had them fitted and they should be able to resolve the matter. They should be able to claim off Powerflex for labour charge or any other expense if it's done to the bushes and not fitting.Powerflex will also want to sort this problem out.

Did you get the wishbone front bushes done too? they are the buggers to fit, these udders can be done yourself with the car still on the ground!

the cupra items are a much better choice, altho needs a special tool to be done properly otherwise a 4WA is needed after

Mine look the same.

Even if I get them in to the end (which is really difficult), they soon come to this state and they stay there.
