Cleaning seats

Featured Replies

any recommendation on what to use to clean the white seats?

Autosmart bio brisk, search the net for your local rep.

Have a look at THIS post about some cheap as chips stuff you can get from the supermarket..... I've used it on one of our cars and it removed some pretty old stains.

Cheers

cheers any tips on how long to leave it on for? and removal after?

Regarding Shout, I used it on mine - but unfortunetly it seemed to leave waterstains. I'm now using Carbrite foam which seems to work well. However, I have yet to find anything that will restore back to the original colour.

I sprayed on and left for a minute or two then rubbed off with a clean damp cloth.... Then as it was summer just left the doors open to finish dryingoff the seats.

This stuff is ok for a quick clean over or to remove a few stains but to clean the whole seats you may be better getting one of those small handheld vax upholstery cleaners / vacuum cleaners...... CLICKY

Cheers

Hire an industrial upholstry/carpet cleaner from your local tool hire centre - cost about £15-20/day plus the detergent that they will stock. You'll be amazed at how much crap these things can lift out and they will leave your seats fairly dry - a bonus at this time of year. Failing that, a professional valet?

1001 worked well on mine.

Just get a leather overhaul :) No more sodding about :)

Hire or buy a cheap Vax type thing and do the seats, carpets and any bits in the house that need doing.

I used my Vax cleaner for doing my seats. It works well, but takes a while for the seats to dry. I usually end up putting towels on the seats to help dry them more quickly and to allow use of the car while the seats are still a little damp.

That's exactly what I did. Our Lupo has pale seats too, so that gets the same treatment.
