Yes the RE90X tube... ive just grabbed one from my local maplins for a not-so-scientific test :D

placebo:confused::rolleyes:

little suggestion: measure a few parameters with vagcom before and after. Dunno which ones exactly - ? MAF airflow??

Placebo effect works on humans (approx 15% of people in tests to be exact) - not machines - a noticeably smoother idle is just that....

any news on the mpg - if it's changed post-cage or not mates?

Cheers

Bas

In the cold weather just now I get about 150ish miles before the beep goes, I do about 30 miles a day of a mix of stop start traffic and motorway. I thought that was pretty poor so tried to cage mod and changed the filter, feels a little smoother but not noticed any difference in fuel consumption.:(

Dont understand how some lucky folk get 500 to a tank, think the most I get is 375 when the beep goes. Gutted as this was my main reason for getting the car (and selling the idea to the missus!) and it has turned out to be almost exactly the same on fuel as my last car, a ford puma.

Me thinks your map might be quite aggressive or put a lot of fuel in early on to make you use that much fuel.

The octy II 2.0TDI has a 55L tank and you can get 600miles out of that without driving in a particularly careful way.

Thought that myself, but to be fair it wasnt much different pre remap. Hoping things will improve in the 'warmer' weather.;)

If your getting 375 miles until the beep, then thats about 450miles out of a WHOLE tank, which aint bad i dont think.

well i broke the 400 mile barrier to one tank... 412 to be exact! ha!

Still feeling the improvements!

When the fuel light comes on i only get 50-60 miles ! boo
