Guys, I don't understand much about cars or the names of their parts and how they work:confused:.

My problem is that the roads in my city are in a very bad shape and so there are lots of ups and downs.

can anything be done to make my 2003 1.6i Octavia tougher? and maybe even making it a bit higher?

any basic help would appreciated

You want the alloy sump guard fitted to replace the plastic one.

The suspension i guess you want as something quite soft but that won't bottom out. I'm thinking keep it stock, or maybe get some koni/eibach heavy duty shockers and keep the standard springs.

Uprate the headlight bulbs to 55w 50% or 80% brighter such as osram silverstars so you can see the bumps earlier at night.

Make sure you keep your tyres inflated correctly.
