1.3 MPI FTW:thumbup:

Running on "shop bought" diesel, the 1.9 felly is no more economical than than the 1.3 petrol. As you've probably read here on other threads, it's not very open to tuning either :(

Chip fat & regular servicing is probably your best route :D

what does the 1.9d give?

Woodie does a good 40mpg on a run

who cares? go fast!

 With a 1.9D lump?

I agree though, what's the point of getting there economically (i.e. slowly) when you can get there quick & have fun on the way?

the prospect that running my 325i as a daily driver would leave me £40 a month WORSE off than I am just now, after eating its way all through my wagerise?

I was comparing it to a 1.3 petrol Felly :)

oooh er! true, but "fast" is a relative term when speaking about a 1.3 felly:thumbup:

Again, comparing it with the 1.9D :D

Anyways, I'm off out to burn some dinosaur wine :D Laters...

Ahhh just done a long 60mph average speed run and got 45mpg on the 1.3 SPI estate favorit so doesn't seem like I'm too bad off on the MPG. Same run before got 39mpg I think driving at just over 70mph.
