Radio volnume control

Featured Replies

is it just me or does anyone else find that on occations when turning the volume up on the CD etc it actually goes down?? This is on a 05 plate vRS.

cheers

It has been mentioned by quite a few people, mine used to do it as well. Some have had replacement headunits fitted.

This Is quite normal and is due to the lack of power that can be generated from the standard headunit. 4x20 watts peak - thats about 8 watts RMS! :thumbdwn:. The built in amp geos into overload protection and pulls back to prevent clipping which can destroy speakers.

I've just changed my headunit for a Sony one and can not believe the difference in clarity volume and depth. Just waiting for my new speakers to arrive because the standard Skoda ones are made out of compressed feathers and dust!

mine does the same, its cr*p!

Do you need a fitting kit to replace the head unit, for the wireing etc?
