Boost gauge pipe through bulk head...

Featured Replies

I want to put a boost gauge in the centre console below the stereo.

where is a good place to run the vac pipe through on the bulkhead?

take off the glove box and behind that there is a black bung stick it though that.

Will come out at the side of the pollen filter under the bonnet

Are 'Zip Ties' strong enough to hold the vacuum pipe on at boost? Dave

Another place is the grommet above the clutch pedal - needs the lower fascia removed. Gonna crack on with this over the next 2 days...

I uses the the gromit above the pedal box.

I ran my gauge in the drivers air-vent. So the pipework was better coming through the right side of the car rather than left.

i dont want to lose any vents.. i like them to clear windows, heat and cool the cabin etc lol

yeah, I know what you mean. But I found the driver's side one (in between steering wheel and door handle) never really did anything apart from annoy me (so it got closed anyway)

Mine demists the drivers side window nicely :)

Mike,

I took mine through the electrical connector box under the windscreen on the drivers side, drilled a hole in the top cover and fitted a tight grommet to feed the pipe through. I did it at the same time as i fed the cable through for cruise control :)

where did you get the t piece from. im looking at getting a boost gauage. do you get all the connectiosn with the guages or do you have to buy them separately

  • Author

you normally get them seperarely.

I sell sell gauges with everything required (except some where to mount it, but watch this space ;) )

have u got a pic of the gauges u sell and a price mate?
