Luckiest stupid idiot alive!

Featured Replies

I was under the impression that getting caught doing 100mph is an automatic ban......................so imagine how scared i was sitting in the back of a POLICE BMW with them saying they've clocked me doing 130mph and they had to to 142mph to catch up with me! (i was gutted!...................thought i was doing more than that!)

Anyway after a stern talking to by a very attractive police women:D they let me go, no points, no court and not even a caution! I must be the luckiest idiot in the world!

I dont normally drive like a **** but, it was late sat night and the road was clear of cars (except one obviously......a police car!)

Im guessing that was the only reason i got away with, but all i could think was there goes me licence AGAIN!!

Anyway, moral of the story is dont drive like a complete tart, i CERTAINLY wont be anymore!;)

My advice.......dont put a lottery ticket on for about 5 years all your luck has now gone.

You did well though mate to avoid anything

It won't happen twice so don't try it

Believe me i wont be doing more than 70 ever again!!!

very lucky to not get done,on a more seriouse note, the weather really isn't good enough for those sorts of speeds, but if the road was empty at least you wouldn't of collected anyony else if you had hit a patch of ice, glad you got away with it this time.

wasnt to cold round my ways TBH

your lucky twice its bloody freezing round here:rofl:

This won't have been because they liked you.

They probably discovered that there was a problem with their equipment and it hadn't recorded your speed correctly .

Agree with you there.

Very lucky, it must have been coming to the end of their shift.. Either that or they thought your driving was spot on

A mate of mine got caught a few years ago doing 110 on the M4 on a saturday night in his coupe, the police had followed him for about 5 miles and after he turned off towards Bracknell the police flashed him in. The copper said there wasnt anything wrong with his driving, it was just the speed and so he wouldnt have to go to court how would he feel about being done for 90mph which would be 3 points and £60 instead of court and minimuim of 6 points and £200 fine. guess which he chose?

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Your one lucky get!

Must have been the shock of seeing a small skoda hatch doing over 100mph, its not very common

happened to myself long time ago, was coming home from ikea doing 90 and police pulled up along side me stared at me n wife, and drove off with the lights and sirens on so presumed they were going to an emergency and did not have time to stop me.

dont hurt to get away with something every now and then

this is why traffic police are better than speed cameras, you've learned your lesson, and nothin (including your liscence and wallet) has been hurt in the process....

^ what he said!

So they must of been dreaming when they saw i was doing 130!

Lucky escape there.

Ive passed the police at 85 before going down to edition38.

They must have been doing about 65-70 all they did was pull behind me for a while, muct have just been checking details on the car. Thought i might have been pulled for my "German" font plates. But they went off at the next junction. Dont think they are to bothered about speeds of up to 90ish.

Just been talking to my friend about it who is a police man and he said if id have gone to court about it they would have given me a month in jail!!! That scared the ****e out of me so its steady eddy from now on!

Many moons ago I was caught playing siily sods by a very nice policeman on a motorbike.

He said it took him 12 miles to catch me on a deserted M62, as I was travelling 'in excess' of 140 mph:eek:

Needless to say, because of my innate charm, and raffish banter, he just called me a pillock, told me to slow down, and go home slowly.
