Superb Edition 100?

Featured Replies

Looks like an Edition 100, Can't make out the script above the indicator on the side.

Milege looks a bit high.

Wouldn't be wanting to pay that for an 18m old version with that mileage, although it's pretty hard to get them in black!

2 years ago I paid less than that for an 18m old 2.5 v6 comfort (fair enough it's a different level of trim) with less than half that mileage.

If you like the car then I'm sure they'd be a deal to be done at the right price.

Dare say it depends on what you are after, but dec should be a good time to get a great deal. £10k go a long way for dealers that are short of cash in December.

I am waiting for the new one and then see about changing mine, I want leather next time and the 2.7 tdi sounds very interesting indeed!!

I notice how Skoda try and hide the arrival of the new Superb, they are still trying to shift the old stocks, hence why the product range is getting smaller and the 2.5tdi is no more...

My local dealer denied all knowledge of the new superb when I asked them, although I did give the impression I didn't really know, they weren't willing to fess up and say wait 6 months for the new one, but then should they be obligated to do so?

As you say price a bit much for a 56k, I reackon if you have your 'Don' hat on you could get a massive deal on the current superb new...

I'm waiting for the new one as well. There is rumoured that there is going to be an estate - autocar or autoexpress said so, which i'd jump at, to get roof bars for my bikes and retain the luxury. Had given a vrs estate a look, but prefer the interior of the superb / passat.

IIRC Skoda invited journo's to go and test it with them in the desert. When I was last looking It was amazing how quiet vxhall dealers were before the new astra, and likewise renault with the laguna. Even bmw/mini do it offering special editions of the model before it changes over. I suppose dealers are going to have different motivations to skoda as a whole.

I'd say it's up to the buyer to do their own research, but they shouldn't be denying it point blank. My glasgow dealer expects new model every 7 years with facelift in interim. I'd say that's a pretty good rule to go by.

I'm not sure how much stock they actually have of the superb, is it not more that they are trying to keep their production costs down by only producing (to order?) a more streamlined range? Certainly haven't seen the kind of car parks full of cars that ford and vxh end up having.

Here's a slightly high miler, looks like it might be edition 100? They say it is an elegance though.... Nice car!

Does look like an Edition 100, though it's pricey for the miles. Mines done just over half the miles, though I wouldn't expect anywhere near £11995.

I suppose a lot depends on how many miles you're goin to do. The one I just bought is Oct '05 with 53k miles, mostly motorway. As I only do 6-7k a year it won't be long before it's average mileage I suppose. If it's been serviced (and not been a taxi) I'd go for it. (well I did so there you go).

That is a LOT of car for the money. The milage does'nt worry me tbh, diesels go on forever these days if maintained properly.

Thats well overpriced IMO, the mileage isn't an issue, but the price needs to reflect this and this one doesn't, its priced as a normal 20k mile car, yet its done 3 times that.

Oooh, love the wheels on it :P
