60000 service

Featured Replies

Hi all just wondering what cost i should be looking at as my 60000 service will be due soon and just thinking what damage it will do to my wallet

Mine's due in about 3 / 4 months as well, so I'd also be interested to know!

my 60k is due in 4000 miles :(

Depends whether you're taking it to a main dealer.

I paid just over £300 but that was from a local mechanic.

A main dealer would probably be double.

Cambelt and tensioners due at 60K unless it was done at 4 years old

Adam This maybe an old post if so sorry, but TOTAL-VAG will be opening up very soon, in the new year! How long until its due?

Nick

Mine was about £530 for service, cambelt, tensioners and water pump at dealers.

This was back in August.

Rich.

it's due in 4000 miles, so probably around feb or march time.

They should be setup by then doing all the marketing now ready for the new year. Should be good been out for some great photoshoots in there cars, mark 2 golf rallye 1.8t 320bhp. Seat ibiza cupra 340bhp and a golf R32 turbo 470bhp! we had a car park closed off just for us to get some great photos!

Phoned a local Skoda garage for the 60k service prices, and was told:

60k service, including inspection: £190

Cambelt: £230 + price of water pump (they couldn't remember - around £30 they thought)

Seems very reasonable to me.

The cambelt price is very good. If I wasn't so far away I'd be asking which garage that was....

CAMBELT CHANGE: 4YR OR 74689M

It is currently 4 years or 60k miles. I wouldn't personally leave it any longer than that....

What's so special about 74,689 miles?

It doesn't round up to anything in Kms either.

How odd.

Well just got back fromthe dealer to high level break light sorted and i asked about the price for the service and they said £185 thought thats a bit cheap so i said thats including all belts and water pump??? the dealer said no and they dont need doing till 70000 is this true or is it 60000??

thinki am going to get them done at 60000 just to be safe

Cost me just shy of £600 a few months back for cambelt change plus inspection service. I'd not have taken it to a dealer had it not been for the warranty work I wanted doing...
