X-Mas Meet Update

Featured Replies

Right folks , heres the plan for this Sunday (23rd) . . .

Meet outside Showcase Cinema Teesside Park for between 0945-10am

Leave Stockton 10.15am to arrive Majuba Road car park in Redcar for 10.30

Leave Redcar 10.45ish for Whitby

Thanks all

Merry Chrimbo , drive safely

for us who are not locals where exactly is this(road name ect for the sat nav)

The postcode for the Teesside Showcase Cinema is TS17 7BU. It's situated just off the A66, in a retail park about a mile before the A66 hits Midlesbrough town centre (when you are traveling from the west).

For anyone who is coming in from the A19, take the A66 westbound and the slip road into the retail park comes almost immediately (about 300 yards).

Once in the retail park, follow the road in and you will come to a roundabout, on the left you will see a large Commet store - go straight over that roundabout and then straight over the next. Follow the road around and you will see the Showcase on the right hand side (along with a Pizza hut and bowling IIRC).

I plan to meet the group at Majuba road, it's pointless me driving to Stockton just to come back again...

I can't find a postcode for Majuba road, so the easiest thing is to use TS10 5BW, which is for a local Total filling station. You will most likely approach the filling station with it on your right hand side, when you do so you will be at a cross roads, Turn left (in the unlikely event that you approach with the filling station on your left - go straight on).. follow the road and you will go over a bridge and then down to a small roundabout on the other side. Cross the roundabout second exit (straight over basically) and then follow the road... you will go round a small S bend and then the road swings around a 90degree bend to the right... Majuba car park is on the left - you can't miss it.

cheers phil,see you tommorow:thumbup:

nice to meet you guys,a cold but good day out:thumbup:

Yes, great to meet everyone. I guess we all washed the little b*ggers when we got home. We had the added penance of having to wash the Kangoo as well.

I learned stuff too - cheers lads. Might fit the PD160 sometime.

Well, no driving for a few days, just more eating & drinking. Bit sick of fudge now. Have a Happy Christmas and a Great New Year.

One word...Boll@cks.

That'll teach me to check the meets section more often I suppose:rolleyes:

:(

OK here's a question, if you HAD to drive round for a day where you lived (so all your mates and neighbours saw you) in either the Corsa or the Rover above which one would it be?

Would rather walk:rofl:

With reluctance...The Corsa :o

Think I'd relunctantly take the Corsa too. Either way both will have broken down in half a mile anyway. LOL
