LCR splitter ordered.

Featured Replies

Oooh, looking forward to this now. The bumper I'm getting has the headlight washer holes, so there's going to be some bodywork to:

a) open up the numberplate area again

B) mesh the gap again in stainless, painted black

c) fill the holes

d) fit the LCR splitter (should be easy enough without bumper being on the car)

e) respray the whole bumper again in silver.

Sounds good :)

Since you're spraying, why don't you get a rear one to go with it?

Mate - little suggestion - either use stainless self-tapping screws or better yet ally rivets with a little silicone/bodyfiller in the gap.

A hot air gun will help with the necessary bending of the two sides to match the contours.

Then the painting will make this look the cleanest Splitter install ever...

(I fitted mine with regular screws and they've rusted..)

Nah - you weren't to know without intimate knowledge of my car. The only downside to all this is my car will now look too vRS, but that's the price you pay for custom intercooling...

Cheers, Bas. I was thinking of using loads of self-tappers, and will ensure they're stainless. I thought a bit of PU glue would also help keep things in check. When the splitter comes I'll look back on the fitting guide to ensure I'm fully aware of how it fits.

Looking good mate, keep up the good work

It will Look Sweet:thumbup:

Has anyone on coilovers fitted the Cupra splitter...?

Will look great Jason, I was never that keen on the old bumper - the new one will still look pretty custom though!
