how much is the 2.o engine cost anyone tell me, and it is easy to find one?

This engine (and the many variations of it) have been used accross the VW group for years. It started as a 1.8 I believe.

So basically you should be able to find one fairly easily and cheaply.

From my research on the internet (so it must be true), it started out as the 1.6 in the Mk1 Golf GTi.

This was then bored out to a 1.8, and then the 2.0. But yes, it's been around years and has been

in loads of cars, so getting hold of one should be relatively easy.

Try looking for a Mk3 Golf GTi 8valve , they used the 2.0 115 bhp motor.
