Can things get worse?

Featured Replies

well ok its stupid name for thread, yes things can get worse. but lets hope not yes?

I had to delay my skoda project! due to engine major faults with the car.

I need a new clutch and timing chain but just recently I find a new problem.

my sterring wheel starts shaking terribly,

and it stops at 50Kmph and starts worse at 90kmph

I think it is my bearings at the end of my half shaft which connects to my Brake disk.

I also found shear of metal and that the rubber seals have dissapeared.

but on the bright side... I hopefully get my Body kit for my skoda in febuary, and all these fixings will make the car less to worry about :)

What's the tyre pressures like? If they're a bit high try reducing them, that might help prevent or reduce the wteering wheel wobble.

If the car isn't that great, and these cars are relatively cheap in finland, like they are in the UK, you could buy another, hope for better luck with that one, and use this as parts donor before getting the scrap metal value out of it? (If that could be value for money). Would help save cost of getting all those bits replaced.

I have both air intake and exhaust they only increase power so little.

thanks

Its not more power you need, its a better power to weight ratio. ie loose as much weight as you can, take out rear seats, carpets, rear wiper motor/mechanism, swop side glass for plexi-glass, etc etc
