wiper problem, strange...

Featured Replies

Hi.

Problem with my wipers, hence the title!

the intermitant wiper wont work, but medium and fast do!

53 Fabia vRS.

Any ideas? Its on warrenty, but dealer cant be to bothered to see me, "to busy"!

Dave

Dodgy switch in the stalk?

Don't like the Dealer's attitude though...

The little secondary switch on the stalk that controls the frequency of the intermittent wipe hasn't ended up stuck between two positions? Try moving it all the way to one side or t'other (right might be better, as that's the 'fast' setting so you won't be sat waiting for ages to see if it's worked!)

Funny you should say that, no, it isnt.

Was changing to brighter bulbs when i sumhow tapped wiper stick, and not much happened.

Will try it in a mo.

And if it isn't that try the wiper relay :)

It was the bonnet. Cheers for your help.

Yep... its the bonnet, its a "safety feature" to stop you accidently leaving the wipers on intermittant and wrecking them if the bonnet is open... all modern VAG cars have it
