Yeh, going uphill when operating in 'real world' conditions.

YES!

That's another pound in the "New VRS rumour" Jar. A few more and I can get a Veyron and tell you.

The Vrs will come with spinners from the factory ;)

Maybe in the advert it'll be made out of chocolate cake?

They will put the new 7 gear DSG into the furby for economy ' maybe '

5 mk 2 vrs threads on one page, come on decron, you will end up with two veyrons at this rate:D

I know.

At this rate I might be able to afford a tank of fuel too!

just stop wishing for one and get a mk2 sport with esp and the 1.9tdi engine, whack some springs and a tuning box on, jobs a goodun ;)

the sport got a nice review in autoexpress..... similar price to what the old vRS was though... how much is the new vRS gonna cost?! and what "rivals" would that put it against? the clio 197? the corsa VXR? hhmmmm

They dump the Sport and sell the vRS at that price ish.

NO .... deffo not, they can handle a lot of torque, there are some good posts on UK mk4's about the DSG myth and one of my best mates mates (confused .. you will be) works for Bentley in Crewe as a tester of some description and he has played with supercharged R32's with DSG in Germany and some mk5 golf Gti dsg's with lots of tweaks and remaps.

someone far more knowledgable than me may be along shortly, but it's down to the programming of the traction control, remap a dsg to harshly and the asr cut's in to readily. Apparantly you can electronically "remap" the asr to cope with lot's of torque.

There are probably some DSG's here that are remapped and have done plenty of trouble free miles, or people who know people who have mapped DSG's :)

I have another good mate, Andy, who works at a local VW dealer and he has a Mk5 GTi with stage 2 revo, neuspeeded to death and lotsa fancy tweaks and a well thrashed 50k on the clock (lots of ring trips)

Anyhow .... ack on topic, Fab vRS this year .............. Would love to see it, but can't see it happening, they will do it when they are ready as it's not a car that's "core" to the Skoda Marque I reckon, lot's of them on here but lot's more non vRS models out on the roads.

Or get a Panda 100HP and have some cash left over......... I am trying to talk the Mrs into binning her Polo and buying a 100HP ...... wimmin

But seriously though who in their right mind would modify a Fabia sport to be the same as the new vRS which is due out in 7 months when the modifications will totally nullify your warranty and vastly decrease its residual value?

Not good advice IMHO - you got a lot of Sports to shift??

strange that the new vRS is "due out in 7 months" when nobody's seen one, or knows anything solid about it.

how far ahead did people know of the Fabia II, the roomster, or the new Superb ?
