i seem to have just purchased another car!

a works factory felicia rally car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well. its sort of a rolling shell at the mow. but its fully seam welded and has all the engine bay bracing.

let the project get silly

Woo Hoo, that looks like a fun project for you. Enjoy:)

I know the full history of that car...

I bought it the first time off ebay and the guy messed me about, so thats why he put it back on.

Anyway that aside, if you want to know the history let me know.

Didn't get the price he wanted or something?

I think so, not bothered anyway.

Least its gone to a good home.

Its an ex trophy car that won the Felicia Trophy in 98.

Not Factory built, Pat Johnson Motorsport built it....

pm me all the history you got mate. would be much appreciated.

anyone know whats special about the rear beam?????

You could have filed a non-seller completion report or whatever they are, and negative feedback :) I would, if it was a non-paying bidder the seller would be quick to complain. I've seen people do similar with low mileage examples of Felicias, with them repeatedly turning up on ebay again.

Seller Non-Performance

You list your guitar on eBay and a buyer wins it. However, you’ve changed your mind and no longer want to sell the guitar. You would be in breach of the Seller Non-Performance Policy if you:

refuse to accept the buyer's payment and don't send the guitar;

accept the buyer’s payment, but don’t send the guitar;

accepts the buyer’s payment, but sends a different guitar to the one shown in the listing;

accepts the buyer's payment, but the guitar the seller sends him is significantly different than the guitar described in the item listing.

As you say anyway gone to good home :)

Oooh, interesting - any piccies?

Steve

now. do i give her a face lift or not?

Yeah a facelift would be good.

I take it that there is no engine in and that the brakes, suspension etc is already uprated? If so that i presume allows you to spend more on the engine in getting the power up?

I somehow sense from previous posts that you will be going for it power wise? If so lif you could let us know what you have done and rough costs as it would be appreciated.

DONT FACELIFT!!!

When you realise the history, you will want to keep it trophy spec!

Ill gather it all together, and then let you have a copy.

As for the rear beam, nothing much, it will have the uprated bushes, and maybe be converted to discs, but the trophy ones wasnt...

Like ive said dont upgrade it, there isnt many UBD/SBD cars left!

i saw tht on ebay the other day an thought of u guys lol

its a funny mix. yes there is an engine in it, a 1.3. but not a clue what con its in, and what type it is.

as for the suspension. the rears are bilstein fully ajustable, and the fronts are standard. so probly put my HP coils on the front, with me uprated arb.

its a funny old bag really. a rolling shell with a whole heap of spares. just right for a starter project i think

power wise. yer i'm gunna be looking for more.

i'v already build a car that handles really well, and once built up, this one will be evan better

so i figure its about time i put some power in to the mix.

was thinking, my 1600, with a nice cam and that fancy exhaust i had made up. then maybe get it chipped. we'll see.

1600 wont go with out modding the innerwings...but its yours so do what you like!!

  • Author

whats so different about the inner wings?

i'v been trying to find out as much as i can about the trophy cars this weekend, but i'm not getting to far.

anyone tell me a little more about the cars???

Its where the engine mount is.

Ill forward all my history i have, when i get round to it

awesome project edd,

Keep us posted like tom does.

distinct lack of tinterweb access due to not being in an office environs, plus lack of cashola= not on line too much!

surely you can change spring rates of the HP's at the front?it'll just be a stock 2.25" spring- buy them for £13 a pop from rally design

  • Author

will have to look in to it.

it looks like my 1.6 is gunna need her head skimming now. bloody cars!
