Finally got myself to the garage for a fluid change (sadly no 4.1, so new 4 for this month) and the Ferodo 2500 pads.

Now just to break them in, will let you all know how diffferent they are later.

Maybe if my on call is quiet on Thursday, I might join you for a drive and sit in with you - see what those babies do!

Great, I think you'll like them.

They feel odd at first, softer but hard once you brake a couple of times. Watch for the pedal rising on friday in case the fluid boils.

I like them. For track DS3000 are even better, much more stopping power, but they do run a bit warm

I'v got my Red Dot Competition brake pads now. But I havnt mounted them yet.. hope theire good.

I love the DS2500's - very practical pad - good from cold and take some pounding before fading...

DS3000's on the other hand are real wheel killers! Ferrodo responded to an email from me saying that they do have lots of brake dust and they certainly weren't suitable for road use.

True, 3000s aren't really recommended for daily use, they produce a lot of dust, eat disks and squeal like the guy in Deliverance.

2500s are nice if a bit dusty.
