Picture Of A Standard Fabia VRS Engine Bay

Featured Replies

As per title, I think Im missing one of the covers from my engine bay, seems to be some wires showing that shouldnt be, if someone could take a snap of their engine bay or point me in the right direction to one Id be most greatful.

Cheers in advance!

is it the batery cover by any chance on an 06 or later car?

Probably easier if you load a photo of your bay here, then it's dead easy to check :)

its your battery cover mate, we dont have them unfortunately

here's one

not standard but the battery box is

Ah. I was wondering why mine didn't have a battery cover. That's a 'feature' then.

Bizarre really. But just pick up one from the dealer if you want to solve it though. Can't seem them being that expensive.

Doesn't excuse them not supplying it in the first place, but there you go :)

I think it's a bit of a job to fit though as the whole battery surround and cover would be required.... Which would mean total removal of the battery etc... to fit. It's not that they didn't bother fitting it, it's that they changed to a new design which just doesn't look as good.

I thought about it when i first bought the car but couldn't be bothered in the end.

Cheers

Dave.

Ahh fair enough Dave, didn't realise they were missing the surround as well :)

I always thought SE Special Edition was an upgraded car and thus a SE

Now I realise that SE Special Edition means any car that is different to the original ie bits missing, as it appears in the Fabia VRS SE

I can not recollect the other things that are missing (was it The traction control?)

It is a grand dearer you can get leather seats but we will not give you traction control or a battery box with lid

:-)

every car from 06 on had the re designed batery box, mine has traction controll, and the se's were only in blue, and you couldn't spec them up,there was nothing missing as you say

you mean you dont get esp on the se

Correct, just Traction Control (ASR - Anti-Slip Regulation).

SEs got leather seats and a CD changer included, but unfortunately buyer's weren't able to add any other options that were available to 'normal' vRSes (xenons, heated seats, sunroof etc etc)

Steve

you mean you dont get esp on the se

Yeah correct that is what I meant/looking for

Still I would like one in BLUE

After a certain date skoda went cost cutting and got rid of the battery cover.

Davy

The fact you couldn't spec options is the only reason I wouldn't have one. Crying shame really; once you've had xenons you can't really go back...

Steve

had xenons on my octy, they were nothing special,a bit like said octy

I would do but its embarrassingly FILTHY!

Also its a 54 plate, there seems to be some wires showing near the top of the battery, they are fixed and look smart, just wondered if there should be a cover on there or not, will try to get some pics by the weekend...

here you are mate hope that helps
