So out of the student grant that we all contribute to, you going to spend £800 out of the £1200 you have left on the car.

So tell me how you eat, live and run a car on £17 a week.

Oh, are you going for a 2/1 in English Grammer ?????

Actually the £1200 is a loan, we have to pay it back plus interest. ;) My loan currently sees £30 a month interest. :(

personally people like this should be screened so as to avoid being allowed to pro-create LOL

What wage do you have to first attain when you leave college before you start paying back the loan?

Also you have still not answered the question of how to run a car, eat and live on £17 a week??

Its 15k, but you still pay interest on the loan payments from the day you recieve them :D

So if you work for under £15K, you never have to pay a penny and the loan just gets bigger?

When do you get a visit from the bailiff.........LOL

Well the answer is simple, you dont. I however have a part time job (24hours a week) on top of my uni degree.

I wasnt having a go, it just stresses me out when tax payers complain about how they fund students through university.

I am a tax payer too, and i think its the lazy barstewards that sit on their arses all day for benefits that need hammer.

This country is all wrong! we help lazy ***** with benefits and make students who want to get on in life pay for it through the nose. Have you seen the course fees for 2008 :thumbdwn:

correct my freind, it just gets bigger and bigger.

If however you dont pay it off before retirement age, it gets cancelled. Which would then be at cost to tax payers :thumbdwn:

It also gets cancelled if you become disabled for obvious reasons and also if you move abroad.

Ah, so if you go to college to study medicine, get a 2/1, and all the relevant qualifications and emigrate, we as a country get nothing back, that makes me feel so much better.................LOL

Hi ,

Your experiences prove me right when I get involved in arguments with mates over after market tuning or chipping. By putting more power and torque through an engine that it was designed to take, you are asking for trouble in my opinion. I have a standard VRS and find that it is more than quick enough to get me into trouble.:D

My opinion is tatif you want a powerful car, buy one with a lot of power as factory specification.

Agreed, anyway, lets get back to this exciting thread, and work out if fitting 18" wheels is responsible for blowing up three turbos??...................LOL

LMFAO, personally i think this guys problem is his booshank needs adjusting. Or possible he needs a full laser borshnocker alignement.

Typical student............................LOL Sorry but you did lead with your chin....LOL

its obvious its the flux capacitor mk2 thats causing all the problems.

Hmm this thread does interest me. When I went up to JabbaSport this weekend and had my Eibachs fitted - which I would like to say are absolutly sublime! I had a chat with them about my three failed turbos....

...although my car is standard *cough* I felt I would speak to a reputable tuner about my issue because despite Skoda being fantastic with the three turbo issue and the warrenty issue...etc..I wanted to know if the last two turbos failed because they where faulty or if there was a boost issue.

Anywho I was honest with them and said I let her cool down and warm up, this was evident to Luke? Or maybe it was somebody else, by my turbo timer and the likes. Anywho they spanked her into Vag-Com and took her for a rag on the Lincolnshire roads of glory. Anywho they found a horrific boost spike in 2nd and 3rd gear. 4th, 5th and 6th where fine.

So they thought it could be the vacuum controller and indeed the said recently they have had massive problems with vRS's and blown turbos and its usally this. They said they did not have a spare one in stock otherwise they would have tested a new one - but they did say if I wanted I could bring it back and they would fit a new one and see if it fixes the problem. Or I could go to Skoda and try and get a new one under warrenty.

My only problem is if I went to Skoda with loads of graphs Jabba gave me about how my vRS is over boosting then maybe alarm bells will ring and not only would they probably refuse to do the boost controller under warrenty they would probably also throw me out the dealership, void my warrenty and well leave me cold, wet and lonely. A shame really as I really fancied the girl on the front desk.

So with respect to your problem "neverbackdown" I'd say 100% its your vacuum box thats at fault.

For now I am grannying my vRS and I guess I will do the 180 mile blip to Jabba again soon for a new Vacuum Box. I really can't knock them, friendly and very helpful. And the drive up there is awesome!

Even if it's not covered by warranty, I'm sure you could source the part and have it fitted locally (or DIY it) :D

Yeh thats a very good point actually Chris. It can't be difficult to fit. I mean the vacuum interface block just clips on - and I think the cable is just a push connector. I might have a gander at her tomorrow in the light come to think of it - might be a handy little money saver.

:confused::confused::confused:

and remember kids, don't do crack!

Doing 130mph will munch through a turbo like a fat ****er eating a packet of flaming hot monster munch in no time at all.

Just out of curiousity here peeps - if my turbo goes, is it covered on warranty? My car is a 54 plate, bought around 6 months ago with an additional year Skoda warranty...

Yes but you will have to pay for the garage tp diagnose the problems first. Normally an hours labour.
