They are very well put together, better than the crappy bmw mini.

The radios in the mazda 2 are fitted in exactly the same way as the RX8, two 10mm bolts at either side.

the RX8s i've took apart only ever had 1 10mm bolt , accessed from the gap between steering column and lower dash trim, oh and the removal of other bits of trim, gear kn0b , ashtray and various screws :(

not even seen a Mazda 2 yet and i'm supposed to be the Mazda technician

Ar right

I quite fancy a mazda 2 now after driving that one yesterday. Cabin is very welcoming and the engine is as sweet as anything.

Goes off to look on mazdas website :D

A tweaked Maz 2 looks interesting :D

Can't believe the design of that Mini - whose daft idea was that?!?

Ingits at bmw

Its not the worse desgin every seen. thinks back to mk1 renults megans, where to fit a stalk adaptor you had to remove the whole top of the dash to get to the display. Being very careful to avoid the passenger airbag :D

Being a renualt it only had 2x T20 screws holding it in tho ;)

Give us a shout if you need advice :D But i prolly guessin youll be fine ;)

The only problems with some of the a4's are the amplified rear systems.

The parrot kills the front speakers ok but the rears keep playing the music:rofl:

Easy fixed on the early audis, just make sure you connect the parrot mute lead up to the correct pin out on the headunit.

New RS4 is a pain, did one the other week and couldnt get it to mute at all. Stupid fiberoptics/canbus mixture

Ta, I've had a parrot on my last 4 cars (self install).

The A4 is running an Alpine 9850Ri head unit, out of my vRS..... luckly my A4 doesn't have the amp'd rear speakers.

You'll need a fakra adaptor for that

Good idea.

Ive got vag com but i aint taking it to work. The buggers i work for make enough money as it is :thumbdwn:, they can buy their own vag com

The fakra muiltican adaptors as far as i am aware only interface with cars that have the Muilt buttons on the steering wheels.

Normal fakra cars liek the octy II without the steering wheel buttons work fine without the muiltican leads.
