Been attacking the items going on my car soon.

Not happy with the finish on the eyebrows. They may go on the car briefly, but will probably not last long with me being a bit of a perfectionist. :thumbdwn: Should really have contemplated getting new ones as the finish would have been better.

However the first coat of paint on the vRS foglight fittings has taken well (after two previous coats of plastic primer ) Will get some more shots after more paint. Probably will end up with 3 coats + a couple of lacquers.

Will see what a couple more coats of lacquer does first on the eyebrows.

About to go for a second coat of paint on the foglight bits now.

20 minutes later and this is the result.

Still not happy with the eyebrows but I might give them a bit more lacquer to try and least make them shiny

But the paint is going well on to the other bits. Now the big bits have had 2 coats and the surrounds for the front have had their first coat. Got to let it all dry for 3 or 4 hours now.

50 quid form a proffesional would get that lot done properly mate.

Well, it's just a hassle getting a bodyshop to do it. I'm not fussed about the brows as they were dirt cheap off fleabay so were purely an experiment. I'll get the fogs looking fine with my can of skoda paint & lacquer for £7.

mate - as you know, you have to have the best smooth finish well before the paint goes on, otherwise it will still look rough afterwards.

Nitromors them and have another go
