Auris T180 vs Fabia VRS

Featured Replies

hello, just my 2p worth.better half has an auris 2d4d spirit (top of the range).its a fine car for what it is and thats good at almost everything! it isnt outstanding just all round good.sure it has it quirks but does'nt every car a good example being the A pillar,it does'nt bother me personally but ive heard several people moan about it.i think the seat leon has same problem if my memory serves me right.the auris interior is a much nicer place to be than my furby vrs less noise generally but then its that bit more expensive.as for cost picked up the auris for £13k with 3k on the clock almost brand new and dealer service is far better than what ive ever had from skoda!

Top spec fabia for low spec Auris? who pays list price for a Vauxhall? If Auris are that cheap I'm surprised there aren't more about, tbh.

Although your p-ex sounds a bargain and my friend did get a stupidly high p-ex price for his mini - so they were certainly trying to shift them early on.

Indeed a T180 for 12k, and IIRC list wasn't that high either.

I would certainly say a top spec fabia II for a mid to high spec Auris.

At the end of the day if I was looking for a fabia then you can get this for similar money after discount as you can a fabia after discount.

I still wouldn't buy either mind, but hey.

Yes. Skoda are beginning to lag behind a bit with service intervals and the like - many cars seem to have an interval longer than 10k (I think the new Fabia has 10k intervals too). Timing belt at 80k won't worry most people but a few of us do high mileages and have to think about such things.

I'm a HUGE fan of independent rear suspension - from experience it works very well on the Golf and the Focus. But the Fabia is just the right size for me and quite a bit cheaper than a mainstream Golf sized motor. And I still like the way it drives.

Auris 2.0D4D is 10k too

My friend paid around £14K for a 2.0D TR with a few extras.

SR180 list price starts at £16.7K

I got offered to test drive one when i went in to look at an Aygo for a friend.

I took the T180 for a 24 hour drive after they posted me something and was told they could do the thing for my car plus £1k.

The PX on the car I had was IIRC about £11k at that time.

Needless to say I wasn't interested.
