Octavia rims on a fabia

Featured Replies

Ive searched through some old threads on 17,s on a fabia

And i am under the impression that octavia 17,s will go onto a fabia with no problems.

would anyone in the know about this type of thing

confirm this or put me right

Mk1 Octavia will, as they share the same 5x100 PCD

Thanks

The octy wheels im thinking about buying at have 5x100 so they will fit:thumbup:

Whilst i am at it

do you know how they would effect a fabias handling(ie)is lowering a must for handling with them on or just a cosmetic thing?)

I would say, if you went with the 17's then it will sharpen up the handling at the expense of ride comfort, due to the smaller sidewall area

Thanks again:D

They will fit fine, but you will need to use different tyres. The octavia tyres are totally wrong for the Fabia.

Somehow, i knew it wouldnt be a simple swap over

As mentioned above you just need lower profile tyres on them....... It'll actually make the speedo more accurate too.

The rims i am looking at are off an octy vrs

with 205 / 40 r 17 tyres

that sounds right to me for tyre size on a fabia.......wonder why they put those sizes on an occty though

all the major alloy sites state 205 40 17 tyres for the fabia so they should fit ok...i was under the impression that 215 tyres are better overall :)

After having 205/40/17 tires on my Octy alloys on my Fabia i would say go 215 as the tires look a little stretched for my liking :)

They are a straight fit and you can use your original fabia bolts

To show it can be done heres my Fabia

Id also recommend -25mm Eibach springs to complement the alloys, these are £150

My car (unlowered -yet)
