From Octavia Vrs to Fabia Vrs

Featured Replies

Having sold my Octavia VRS I was at a loss with what to replace it with, so when this popped up for sale I jumped at the chance. Will collect later in the week once the private plate has been transferred over.

Nice to see another Fabia on the scene.

Any plans?

yeah, definetly a remap, the one on the octy made it sweet, a pd160 thing i hear is popular, and maybe either get the alloys done in white or some new black ones with a polished chrome rim, oh and some tints.......

hi mate very very nice purchase buddy you will not be disappointed i think the overall driving experience and the greater feeling of going faster makes them a top motor. it is the best car i have ever owned cheap to maintain reliable top engines and build quality and still does 40mpg when booted dont think the octavia can do that except down hill lol...the octavias are top top cars though:)

Get white alloys i would have sayed black with a polished lip, but i just got some so you cant! :D

Will be good to see the progress!

Good to hear you've gotten yourself lined up with a new motor. Not exactly what you said you were looking for but glad you've stayed in the Skoda/VAG club!

Look forward to seeing some decent pics and mods carried out. Your reletavely short car history is starting to look quite impressive!

Yeah i did want something faster, but having just bought a house and having all the legal fees and morgage and deposit, my sensible side decided on lowering the outgoings for a bit. The tax on this is half the octavia and my insurance has pretty much halved too! plus i thought it was really fun to drive, the steering was nice and light and the gearchange was so smoooth, it always felt a little notchy in the octavia.

I did test drive 2 civic type-r and a focus st and the fabia still won me over.

Its just a pity it had a private plate on again, so i have to wait for the DVLA to get the new v5 sent to the owener.....grrrrr on second thoughts thats a good thing as it shows the car has been looked after and cherished

Looks a nice car and an excellent choice

Another member going from an Octy to a Furby :D
