What price for exhaust?

Featured Replies

I'm going to get the back section of my exhaust replaced - for my Felicia 1.3 W reg. Any ideas what price I should expect, just so I know if i'm being ripped off?

depends what your after really, standard or goin for somethin sportier?

sportier!!!!!!!!!

im taking mine to pipewerx near mine sometimt this year to get a straight through fitted.give it a beefy sound - with any luck itl sound gr8 with the induction kit on too.but powerflow would be good to talk to aswell.

For a standard one i only paid £23 from my local parts people!

Wouldn't have a clue about sportier solutions... but should be cool... Go for something tastful though please... no HUGE 6" wide things sticking out the back!! hehe

saw a pug like that the other night an to be honest an old fiesta witha dodgy halfrauds back box sounded meaner.of course the usual skoda jokes came out until a guy name dpete turned up in an octy, dnt know if he registred here yet. thinkin im guni gor for somethin around the 3" size

So long as it doesn't sound like there's actually NO exhaust on there! lol

Sick of ch4vs racing round town here with there stooopidly loud exhausts! hehe

lol i knows what ya mean

get them al the time here, the local " cruise" in the sainsburys car park every tuesday night.

hoping for mine to give a nice low grumble then as soon as it gets between the 3500 - 4500 rpm range - sound like a lil green monster.

Just had mine done as a matter of urgency on my "P" Reg felicia (damn thing fell off !) ... Bog standard back box, mount clips and fitting was £62.85 all inclusive.

Place called F1 Auto ... Would highly recommend, it's a national company so may be worth a look.

Thanks everyone. I meant just the normal plain metal pipe kind - no chrome or trumpet ends for me. :)

All newer cars have to many boxes. Just remove the rear one. Go to any universal auto shop and buy some bends and just puzzle something together without a box. Clamp them together or just weld if you have access to that tech.

Shouldnt be any problem with the rear box. And then you can buy any cheesy rear piece you want and put on there. Making it look as big as you want.

Almost all the cars i have had i have removed one box. A cheap way to upgrade. As for the sound of a throaty roar from induction kits. That is something i try to get as far away from as i can. Its not my thing. It kinda sounds like the car is struggeling. But thats my opinion. You are ofcourse allowed to have a completly other view on this.

Like i said i paid £23 for mine from my local auto factor... give them a try first... its the same exhaust as on a favourit.

I then took it to my local garage who charged me a tenner for fitting it.... i also needed a new rubber mount and the little clip that hold it on costing around £3 from skoda dealer.

This was for the back box only... think thats all you need right?

i want a letter box exuast will sound really nice :D dont like mine at the moment its gets loud but looks to low want it high an cat back :D

jaymz what exhaust or back box do you have? i tried looking for one for mine, until i get the funds for the pipewerx system.

only problem i found was universal backboxs are good but cant find a reducer small enough to get it to fit properly on the felly.

There not too expensive from a dealer you know...some keep them in too...!

Well I got it done... a normal back box for me at £51 from Hadleigh Tyres (Local Group in Suffolk).

- Does anyone actually notice a power difference from a 'sports exhaust' as some people claim?

I've got a feeling they make close to zero difference in the BHP!

Anyway, if we wanted sports cars, we wouldn't be driving Felicias hey?
