toyo proxies (just bought two for mine and there very good )

good year eagle f1's

pirelli p zero's

to name but a few

Eagle F1 or Toyo T1-R

Having read a few threads on this I would also be tempted to get a slightly wider profile.

Protects the alloys a bit better and you get more grip!!

Cheers

Toyo proxies are good but are the PX4 any good, please somebody answer the question;)

Maybe know one knows the answer, I don't but I could make one up for you if you want

WTF is a PX4? I'd associate the term PX with the US equivalent of the NAAFI, and they're not known for making tyres! ;)

Cheers - the new PX4 is being compared against the FZ4, not the T1-R, so I don't know you'll find many people here who've got experience of either.

That tread pattern does look kinda good.

When I had my 2 T1r's fitted lat week they mentioned a new model was on it's way.

Is this it or have I got the wrong end of the stick again

Dunno. I'll be talking to a Toyo dealer at Easter though.

Eagle F1 or Toyo T1-R

I switched to Toyo from Eagle F1 and didnt like em, so will aim to stay with Eagle F1 from now on (GSD3).

I'm using F1 GSD3 and can't fault them

I tried some Eagle F1's and found them a bit spongey on the limit. I'd now look for a tyre with a strong load rating and decently reinforced sidewall (Toyo T1-R if you're feeling flush, or Falken FK452's if you're not ;))

Oh yeah, and if you go for the Toyos, run them a couple of lb/in^2 up on what the data plate in the fuel filler says.

Yeah f1's gsd3 do have a low load rating, but try some goodyear f1 asymmetric.
