Drivers door rattles

Featured Replies

Just wanted to know if anyone else has had this.

When the drivers window is down ( or half way for that matter ) The bloody thing rattles like mad whne going over bumps or round a left hand corner.

If so what did you find and how easy is it to remove the drivers door card from a octy to find out what it is????

Cheers pete

The whole car is full of squeaks and rattles and yes my drivers window rattle when half open too! The most annoying rattle is the knob on the handbrake.

Its worse if you modify the suspension in any way like i have.

Strange, no rattles here after 3 years even with the KW suspension.

Mine does the same, especially annoying is the creaking when it goes up fully, on a sunny day. There seems to be a lot of vertical movement in the glass when its partially down. I was thinking about taking the door card off to have a look.

I know on the Astra I had there was a problem with creaking for a while after the window was up, they fixed it saying there was loose pop rivots (I assume it held the slider mechanism onto the door.

The door card is easy to remove, let me know if you find anything if you have a look at it.
