Nitrogen Filled Tyres?

Featured Replies

Anyone know what this is all about?

nitrogen is less volatile and expands contracts less with temp changes- giving more consistent handling.

Apparently gives better fuel economy, longer tyre life and less damage/rust to your wheels as there's no water vapour/oxygen in your tyre - only costs about a

I was also told cause the molecules of Nitrogen are large less escape as well so your tyres stay up for longer.

Do you have to take it to a tyre dealer to get them topped up then? Can't see my local Tesco store replacing their free air with a pay-for nitrogen one :(

Hmm. Nitrogen is actually number 7 in the periodic table of elements, so arguably is smaller than oxygen. Lemme grab my microscope and compare

Yeah, nitrogen is pretty small. And air is made up of, er, isn't it something like 80% nitrogen? Thought the only advantage of using pure gas is that it expands more consistently and it doesn't contain water vapour...

Rob.

 What are you lot like just see www.uniflate.com or contact me.....the site tells you all about it, best to build new tyres with it, costs
