I bought my first Skoda, new, in December: a 1.4 Fabia 3 diesel. I feel very smug looking at the mpg display as I drive along. I get 50 mpg over a 30 minute suburban commute, which I reckon is pretty good.

As a plus, my teenaged daughter thinks it's a shameful car that would ruin her street cred if her mates saw it so she doesn't want to borrow it. So an all-round winner, I think.

I'm interested to know if anyone's running a new Fabia on biodiesel? Official Skoda policy is that this will invalidate the warranty on the engine, although the servive manager does say that he runs his own Skoda on biodiesel. Are there any known issues with this the engine, either with or without the biodiesel?
