Hi All,

Whereabouts in Suffolk are you mate?

There's a few Herts boys that are looking for meets, maybe we could meet up in the middle, say Bishop's Stortford or Cambridge.

Matt

Good luck on this

Tried to do a meet in jan 06 - apart from tom_vrs and Steve & Rob West who were coerced no one turned up. Fortunately there were some mg-rover.org guys there so wasn't too bad.

Now I'm living in cheshire, there seems a lot more in the north west. I did try to get some meets going but got 0 response.

Is it because people in the east are too embaressed to admit they drive a skoda?

to be honest there only seems about 3 of us who could do it last time . i am in colchester by the way ( not far) there are a few other people locally but dont know if they are interested

A meet around cambridge way suits me! When are people most free after usual working hours?

Dj

I live in Hemel so a weekday is pushing it a bit to get to and from Cambridge with traffic.

A Saturday meet would suit better, less traffic, less time constraints.

Let's start a list going, can start off with a small meet to begin with. Not sure about the Cambridge area so anyone with local knowledge feel free to pipe up

I can do weekends to. Count me in.

ipswich / colchester /chelmsford ?

ipswich / colchester /chelmsford ?

A bit too far for me, I could possibly be pushed to Chelmsford/Cambridge at weekends, Royston/Bishops Stortford are a good distance from me and I'd definately turn up.

Royston is fine by me to as its not that far from cambridge. You know of any good pubs there with a pool table and good parking?

:)I'm up for most of the places listed here, I live in Cambs and work in Royston, Herts.

O.K So does anyone want to start suggesting dates or good meeting places?

I can do most of the locations listed above, I'm in Ipswich.

:)Chequers pub in the beautiful village of Ugley, near Stanstead is quite nice and has plenty of parking, they do meals too if you want.

Sounds like a good venue, should be a nice drive over as well

Saturdays are easiest for me, afternoons rather than evenings though.

Once the organiser has a date and time and the place is finalised, I'll see if I'm free to pop along

.....the beautiful village of Ugley...

Is it just me that finds that part of the comment funny?

Lol. I was at the Reading festival when they managed to get on the bill. They lasted 3 minutes on stage being pelted with bottles full of urine and other stuff before running off crying.

What about their atrocious cover of Alice Coopers 'Schools out'

OK, if everyone's good with Dave's suggestion (Chequers pub in the beautiful village of Ugley ()) and most people are free weekends how does Sat 29th March sound?

:)I'll be able to grace you with my ugly pescence in one of my beautiful cars on that day.:D
