I've just recently bought a 1999 Felicia 1.3 and i've noticed that when i have my dipped lights on the drivers side highbeam is on also and wont turn off, can anybody suggest a remedy?

You'd get a better response if you'd posted this in the correct section - this section is for technical guides.

Are you sure that the headlamp is not out of focus and that the bulb is correctly fitted?

Does the full beam symbol light up on the dash?

Possibly the switch in the indicator stalk is knackered?

Check bulb is fitted properly and that fillament hasnt shorted across to high beam. unlikely to be electrical fault as only happening on one side

Ah, didnt read it properly:O

Very unlikely if not impossible to be an issue with the switch.

Might also be a dodgy Earth, if both filaments are on irrespective of whether it's on dip or main beam. Either way, the problem is in or near the RH headlight.
