Recipe:

1 Skoda Fabia vRS that has been involved in cat C write off but has some nice stuff on it (see members cars)

1 Skoda Fabia Estate Comfort spec that will be used as a shell :)

So far the only thing fitted is the Blueflame exhaust system, which has an EGT sensor hole (custom) and I've heat wrapped the downpipe. Also the chrome exhaust part has been cut off to make it fit properly in 'stealth'.

More progress reports as time allows & progress happens.

Completed fitting of Blueflame on 16th of Feb 2008

Completed fitting of rear ARB & bonnet lifter on 17th of Feb :)

Hehe, good stuff

Looking forward to updates. Any project photos yet? :)

This sounds interesting, but yes pics are needed!

Will post a pic of the car soonish, currently it's pretty much 'empty' normal estate, just with Blueflame and that's hidden, I guess you can see the vRS wheels though

Today fitted the bonnet lifter, had to attack one of the bolts a bit as it was not behaving itself.

Also refitted the Jabbasport rear ARB - what a pain to get those brackets refitted, but it got there in the end :)

Was nice to see you guys :)

What colour is the Estate?

I assume it's getting VRS bumpers , but will they have to be painted to match the car.

Now if you want to be *really* impressive you'll need to copy the interior that was shown on the concept VRS estate a while back

I dont think it will have a vRS bumper, but some bits and pieces will happen to it to make it a little special over time.

I have to be near zero-budget on everything I do, due to lack of any spare cash. So far, managing to salvage/re-use bits from my old car, or sell some extra bits off to save the money.

Bengie has been good as gold with letting my car stay on his drive for all this time, can't thank him enough for it :)

PICS!!!!

You have beat me to my idea!

Oh well!

pd130 conversions are so 2005. :P

Now this I gotta see :)

really does need vRS bumpers doesnt it *brain washes*....

If you find me one that's the right colour and is free ;) - otherwise it's gonna stay zero-budget as much as possible..

Can one ask what figures you are looking to get once done?

Well it will start off with 201bhp as that's what the hardware did before I had the crash.

However as I will have the Allard EGR removal + one of Basil's special pipes to the Forge FMIC, I am hoping it will keep the power nice and stable.

Will see how it goes, but it should 'go' pretty well ;)

Bit heavier than a hatch but still unique...ish.

Id still like to do a standard one....one day.

Will look awesome on Avus 17" rims ;)

Nar gotta be standard or 17" spiders FTW!

Gonna be the Asus ones ;) - got some interest in the original vRS 16" wheels + spare + tyre from a neighbour so should get near break-even on the cost straight away

Is Bas now offering mail order? :) Might be interested in a metal pipe replacement - cost dependent.

I may have a few more ideas for it, once it arrives, having visited Chris' place of work it may be easier to do a bit more 'local' production, but will check ;)

I've not got the pipe yet though, and Allard is not coming back to me on the orders I have outstanding with them currently (yet)..

Hopefully they'll be in touch again soon

Update for the project side of things - towbar is now fitted, and that will allow cheap/legal movement of cars, which will help the situation :)

Apparently stuff is underway from Forge & Allards, thinking of going to the office tomorrow as a result ;)

Mudflaps front/rear have arrived, and the luggage nets for the boot + the rubber mat for the boot.

This will also allow me to measure up the area I need to get sound proofing materials for.

Koni FSD has arrived (singular) to replace the bent one. Got the VW tool on order (a tenner), just need time, tools, and spring compressors and the suspension will be back how it should be

Will try to take some pics when further progress is visible :)

When is this project going to open to 'public' viewing, I'm genuinely intrigued by what you are up to!

I second that :) - Dates/Pictures - Anything :D

This sounds awesome, can't wait to see it
