I seem to remember someone mentioning a flash counter which would be incremented every time the unit was reflashed and a map uploaded. No idea if that's true however....

Chris

It is, however they rarely check this and as mentioned I think it goes to zero. The One click wipes a lot of stuff including the service indicator.

Next best sale offer inc. postage? :o) It seems I missed out on the opportunity with Tom, not quick enough.

I have neglected to factor in the insurance at the moment. Does any one have a rough idea what the extra will be for this?

I was planning to check this out after I'd got the 1click but before shelling to have it reflashed which is the far more expensive part, and not recoupable.

Insurance cost will depend on your age, driving history, postcode, etc as well as your insurance companies views on big %age increases in power. Best give them a ring and find out before shelling any cash out.

My insurance is coincidentally due to change which is the good side;

the bad side was the loading I found on it.

Perhaps not terrible, it was about £100 cheaper on standard, but that was including the AA and I have never insured (or heard) of some of the performance insurers that were mentioned

I was using two of the comparison sites.

Also what p'd me off was the speed at which (on the std quote) the topmost insurers mentioned (and to me,relatively unheard of) took it upon themselves to invade my privacy to call with quotes - literally twice in the space of 5 mins.

Is it not possible to use the better know insurers when contemplating mods as basic as this?

I am surprised and set back a little about the whole idea - I thought it would be much easier and almost thought it could be left to be modified (and alter insurance) after I had renewed.

Now I am not sure about the whole idea at all. Partly because its quite important for me to have a good brand of insurance.

Try either Adrian Flux or Chris Knott. They should sort you out.

I'll give them a look over. Thanks for the tip

The cheapest is around £400 at the moment on the comparison sites

Guess who that's with ? "Ibuyeco". Are you serious

That's almost £100 over the standard unmodded price I can get with AA.com

Tony, I'm confused - I PM'd you last week regarding the One Click but didn't get a reply.

As I advised I've got the PD160 air intake, cotton green filter and cleaning product for sale as well as the One Click.

The PD 160 and filter recently went for £87 on ebay - Green Panel Filter and Trumpet pipe for Fabia VRS on eBay, also, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 10-Feb-08 20:01:45 GMT)

Any way if your not interested that's fair enough but a response to my PM would have been nice :(.

The flash count is usually evident on all switchable rempaps. Although there have been some claims that superchips bluefin removable remap does not leave a register on the flash count. I am not sure how fact based this claim is! The thing is with flash counts is that the garage will not know why it has been flashed, they will not know that a remap has been involved!! Bluefin is highly regarded by Honest John which is usually a pretty good recommendation!

Regards,

Mark

Still for sale £45

I'm sorry I didn't respond to the PM....

just was not with it at the time.

I had already paid Tom for the 1click but due to a mixup was refunded kindly by him - it went to someone else

Received offer from a reputable company offering a remap not switchable to the order of a way less than the one click all in, I think.

I've think I have stalled on this account of just wanting to make sure Im happy with insurance as I don't feel pressurised by myself to go ahead with it - although it would be ideal time as insurance is due start of april.

I've got an initial response on the insurance too from adrian flux.....which aint too bad within £40 difference of the AA which you can't complain about.
