Ive had my Vrs for six weeks and its been back to DM kieths dealership 4 times with the same problem!.The engine Emc light keeps coming on. First they said it was because i stalled it. Huh ? Then i had to wait a week for EGR valve to be delivered. Now its just come on again.Anyone got any idea's. Not very happy at the moment

Any Error codes logged?

Yeah they carried out a 5051 check and found Fault code 19586

Might be worth trying another dealer?

I use Simpsons over at colne. They have always been pretty good.

Why don't you reject the car, you have the right to if they can't fix a fault that was on it from new ?

Don't qoute me on this, get some legal advice but coming from a similar problem (my 206 was in the garage every month!!) but once you accept a repaire they have 4 chances to get it right, after that they should either have to give you a replacement or some sort of compensation. Though it does have to be the same fault!!

But really go to your local CAB and get a letter or something dafted just in case.

My furby (touch wood) has been great, not any problems!!

Funny that, the only car I have rejected was a Peugeot 206. When I picked it up from new it had white overspray (The car was black), there was a dent in the front drivers side wing but it was outwards and not in so it had been done in the factory, this was not picked up on the PDI check either  . They attempted to resolve the problem several times over the next few weeks, they did not succeed. Anyway wrote a letter saying I was rejecting the car and I wanted my money back, they refuse so I got a friend of mine at the time who was a solicitor to write them a nice little letter, funny that, the day they got it they phoned me and asked me to collect a cheque off of them for the full amount I had paid.
