Can anyone give me an idea of what they have paid for a 40k service on a fabia VRS without anything else being done (Cambelt etc)

Just want to gauge what i should be paying.

Im at 38000 miles now and still no service light, but the garage keep phoning reminding me of service.

Also, if i go to an independant, does it invalidate my warranty??

I just had a quote this week of £275 from Chathams Skoda in Edinburgh.
