"Brace yourselves. Now the VW Group has the new-generation Golf platform up and running, there's going to be a whole slew of cars based on it. We've already had the Touran and the Audi A3, we've even had the MkV Golf itself. And now there's the new Skoda Octavia..."

Just thought you should know, don't want the site owners getting into trouble :)

Dave.

This months Diesl Car magazine has first drive test of the new Octy, in 2.0 tdi form with auto box in Elegance trim (looks lke).

They liked it, apart from the seating strangely enough which they had trouble getting comfy.

I wonder how much effect this will have on resale? I only bought my Octy 130 Elegance in March, my research at the time was telling me that the new shape Octy in Elegance trim with diesel engine was some way off. Not true it seems :(

Lets face it: their both great cars. It shouldn't make that much of a difference after about 3 years.

I had the same with my two MINI's. No sooner had I taken receipt of it, what seemed like weeks later all the new amendments came on-line and I missed them. The thing is though, your having the benefit of a (great) car until then, and like me and my MINI, I was happy about the car when I ordered and took receipt of it.

Nowt wrong with wanting something newer mind, it's just that you have to make a decision at sometime or other.

Gotta go, the F1 Grand Prix is on... :)

I wonder what model they reviewed, surely they still dont use "Part Vinyl Seats"
