Too Good 2 Be True

Featured Replies

Hey I know this topic is in the wrong place but I think you alll should read it, it prooves car crime is still a major problem!!

Basically my older brother was lookin at 07 plate Seat leon fr tdi, with slight damage to the rear on the autotrader. It was dirt cheap at 8k so we thought tooo good to be true but he phoned anyway asked all the usual questions and got it HPI checked at his work (Arnold Clark) it came back clear, so we where gona travel down the day (Manchester)

Heres a link for the car, its the 6th one down on page 7 (that might change cos autotrader updates all the time!!)

http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/c...0/search.action

now look at what we found when we google the reggie plate

http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/for-sale/Car...4&stock=1215427

They look the same car dont they!

but the real one ( I.E. the 2nd one) has more mileage! doesnt have tinted windows!

and if you look closely at the rear window the one with damge has the sticker at the bottom left, and the real one has the sticker at the bottom in the middle!!!!

My brother phoned the police about it and they just said "don't buy it" never took any info!!

So needless to say it was toooooo good to be true! If any1 else goes to see this please dont buy it!

Oh and Manchester is supposedly the car crime capital of the UK!

Stolen then cloned, fuc#ing usuless Fuzz

So presumably the first car would have a VIN number that doesn't match what the HPI check says it should be (unless they have cleverly changed it).

Do Seats show the VIN number just below the windscreen like Skodas do?

And I'm assuming they will also have an excuse for not having the Vehicle Reg document?

Do Seats show the VIN number just below the windscreen like Skodas do?

All cars now produced show VIN number on dash/screen and have done for quite a few years now

I can't believe the police couldn't be bothered, this is obviously a stolen car, with a cloned plate...... they should be round arresting them! f*cking sick of the state of this country... how would they feel if it was their wife, held up in bed at night awith a knife to her throught, as they looked for the cars keys of the grey leon parked on the drive ect ect ect...

and the poor sod who buys it, and gets pulled by the police, and then has to give the car back to ist original owners........
