Just seen a new model Citroen C5

Featured Replies

On trade plates, driving through the centre of Rugby.

One mighty fine looking car, miles bettter than it looks in the pictures (and it looks brilliant in the pictures!)

How anyone could buy a Mondeo/Passat/Avensis/Vectra or even a 3 series/A4/C- Class after seeing one of these I do not know.

I'll make an exception for the Alfa 159!

I like it and will be taking a look when i come to change cars

I've seen the ads. ,but not a real car.

This could be the re-birth of Citroen, it looks mighty fine:thumbup:

Will keep an eye out, did like the look of it in the advert posted too

Must say, I quite like the look of the current Picasso too - certainly a big improvement over the original one. Been in one too and was very impressed with overall build and feel and sheer amount of interior space.

Certainly promising stuff from those quirky French chaps :D

A chap at work has a new Picasso, it's a nice piece of kit, and I saw one of those cross4 thingies t'other day, and that looked very impressive.

I have had Citroens on and off for 30 years, I may return....

Just wait till you see it in the flesh, amazing stance, prescence PLUS looks. I guess it was a highh spec model (big wheels) looked great in silver.

Absolute top of my list come change time!

Looks awesome and the spec list is impressive, but reviews I've read seem to suggest that even in VTR guise, it's more of a comfortable, relaxing motorway muncher than a sporty car.

Hm, it keeps creeping up my list of wanted cars for next time round.

It MUST have the Hydractive suspension if that's what they still call it.

Hopefully they will bring this one into production

Now you have all upset me rotten!! :(

I have stuck with citroens for 40 odd years all models except sm. & CS been very very impressed. Still run an xantia and a xsara.

Even ColinD had one before Skoda's as did his sister who now has honda civic whatever.

But after all this time and asking around I left the new C5 on the shelf - it is the same mechanicals as old C5 - floor pan is supposedly same just new body panels and more electric toys.

Advised by long standing local citroen repair specialists who I have used for last 35 yrs - don't touch with proverbial barge pole.

Would confirm it is like all citroens a comfort barge and not sporty but they do work well if you maintain them - never had any problems with hydraulics in all that time.

Anyway all - enjoy I did and just might return in a few years time to them

The new C5 is on a completely new platform and shares a lot of bits from the C6 and Pug 407 (including the floorpan)

Top spec 2.2HDi estate will be the one to go for.

How anyone could buy a Mondeo/Passat/Avensis/Vectra or even a 3 series/A4/C- Class after seeing one of these I do not know.

Because no matter how good a car it is , the depreciation will be shocking , simply because it's a Citroen.

It'll take another generation of good cars before they hold their value well

I think its gorgeous , I also love the C6 but I would hate to loose that much money on a car so Ill never buy one new!
