IIRC they offer you "book" trade-in minus £500. You get full trade-in if you buy a new car from their affiliate.

These sort of companies basically take advantage of people who have real money problems or no idea what their cars are worth.

I remember being offered £3000 for the Passat. The Octy supplying dealer offered £3500 (it would have been put to auction), and sold it privately in the end for £4200 - which was VERY cheap considering it should have really been up for about £5000 as a private buy, but I needed to sell it quickly.

So yes, these companies really do take the biscuit. :thumbdwn:

Couldn't get a figure without giving them an email address as a minimum. I couldn't be bothered to set up a false hotmail account so I didn't bother.

You do know this company will sell your details on if you forgot to opt out?

They're just cashing in on the desperate. Might be worth it for offloading a banger if they offer better than scrap value. And scrap is going up.
