Turbo Whistle on Tickover?

was out pumping the tyre's up earlier and i heard a whistle, thought it was the compressor but not it was the car!, revved it and went off again, 2 mins later it came back?

Sounded like Turbo whistle!

just wandering if this is normal??

na that cant be true, mines is completely standard engine-wise.

Think its something to do with the variable vein turbo. Spools itself up after some time

i dont hink this sound is the turbo it the EGR valve working

how was i supposed to no that when you dont say these things surely you must have thought some one would have said it.

Mine does this also. I'm pretty sure it's a perfectly normal, natural thing...

I think its the secondary air pump kicking in, nothing to worry about

it was a bit embaressing at first

sounds like a kettle boiling hehe

i quite like the sound lol especially when you change gear at bout 2000 rpm and put your foot down does it even more lol
