For those travelling any big distances, the Travelodge just up the road at North Weald Basset has rooms available for £29 if you book early. It is OK, but no in house brekkie. There is a food place next door, cannot remember if it is Burger King or Little Chef.

I was thinking of using my usual South London base but looking at the start time for the day, reckon it would be prudent getting a £29 Travelodge instead; avoid all that rush-hour traffic
